K2 Telecom reaches over 80,000 subscribers

Uganda operator K2 Telecom has signed up more than 80,000 subscribers since launching. The firm's interim CEO Saul Katumba Segawa said in just a month since K2 Telecom was officially launched, the operator has already acquired a base of up to 82,000 subscribers. It is now finalising interconnection agreements before its full service package is available across all networks, the Daily Monitor reported. Segawa said the company is focusing on affordable call rates at UGX 100 per minute. Despite claims that the company is collaborating with an international operator, Segawa noted that K2 Telecom
