KazSat revenue reaches KZT 5 bln in 2017

Revenues of the Kazakhstan satellite system KazSat totaled KZT 5 billion in 2017, reports Profit.kz. Over the past seven years, revenue from system, including the KazSat-2 and KazSat-3 satellites, have totaled KZT 17 billion. The KazSat-2 satellite's period of operation expires in 2023 and there are plans to launch the KazSat-2R satellite as its replacement. The new satellite will provide remote areas with internet and mobile connectivity.
