Kcell revenues fall 2.3% in Q1

Revenues of Kazakhstan mobile operator Kcell, controlled by the TeliaSonera group, dropped by 2.3 percent year-on-year to KZT 43.085 billion in the first quarter of the year. EBITDA decreased by 7.2 percent to KZT 23.817 billion, and the EBITDA margin declined by 2.9 percentage points to 55.3 percent. The net profit decreased by 15.4 percent year-on-year to KZT 13.234 billion. Voice revenues dropped by 15.1 percent to KZT 26.631 billion due to increasing competition in the market, while data revenues grew by 15.1 percent to KZT 9.580 billion.
