KDDI to offer power-phone discount package from April

Tuesday 19 January 2016 | 13:35 CET | News
Japanese mobile carrier KDDI will start providing a discount package to customers who bundle electricity and communication services by partnering power companies from April, the month when Japan's retail electricity market will be liberalised, writes Kyodonews.net. The move comes after KDDI's rival Softbank announced a similar option. Depending on the amount they pay, applicants will receive up to 5 percent of their electricity bills returned in the form of KDDI's electronic money 'au Wallet.'
