KDDI's FY revenue almost flat, profit jumps nearly 8%

Japanese operator KDDI saw its operating revenue slightly increase by 0.8 percent year-on-year to JPY 5.08 trillion in the fiscal year ended 31 March 2019. This reflected increases in revenue due to the expansion of the energy business to maximize the 'au Economic Zone' inclusion of AEON HD in the Group, expansion of Wowma!' and 'au WALLET Market' and expansion of the Life Design Business such as settlement business, as well as making Eneres a consolidated subsidiary; as well as increased revenue in the Myanmar business. The increase was achieved despite a decline in mobile communications
