KDDI's FY revenue jumps 6.2% to JPY 5 trillion, profit up 4.7%

Japanese communications provider KDDI's operating revenues increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year to JPY 5.04 trillion for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2018. Consolidated operating income was up 5.5 percent to JPY 962.8 billion mainly due to the revenue increase of mobile communications revenues, value-added revenues, profit increase of the Business Services segment and Global Services segment, the company said. Net income was up 4.7 percent year-on-year to JPY 572.5 billion, while EBITDA grew 2.4 percent to JPY 1.56 trillion with EBITDA margin at 30.9 percent at 31 March 2018 versus 32.1
