Kenya reaches 1.52 bln mobile money transactions in 2016

Kenyans made a total of 1.52 billion mobile money dealings in 2016, including peer transfers, sports betting, and paying for shopping and utility bills. This was out 14.8 billion transactions carried out globally, according to data from the Central Bank of Kenya and mobile industry lobby GSMA.
