Kenya rolls out system to block counterfeit devices

The government wants to listen to people's telephone calls, read texts and review mobile money transactions from 21 February, The Daily Nation reported, citing a letter to operators. Through the Communications Authority of Kenya, the government has ordered mobile phone companies to let it tap into their computers through a third party called M/S Broadband Communications Networks, which has been contracted by the CA.
