Kenyan active mobile subscriptions rise by 1.3 mln in Q4, outgoing call minutes drop

The number of active mobile subscriptions in Kenya was 54.5 million in the quarter ended 31 December 2019, which was a mobile penetration rate (SIMs) of 114.8 percent, according to the latest statistics from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA). The number of SIM additions increased during the quarter to 1.3 million from 1.0 million SIMs in the previous quarter.
