Kenyan banks lose KES 1.2 bln card payment revenues to mobile money since March 2020

Top banks in Kenya have warned of an expected significant drop in net earnings for the year 2020, citing deteriorating economic conditions and the Covid-19 containment measures, which have caused the banking sector to lose over KES 1.26 billion in card payment revenues to telecom firms' mobile payment platforms in nine months, The EastAfrican reported.
