Kenyan court to make ruling on thin SIM tech in January

Kenya's High Court will determine in January 2015 whether a mobile operator associated with Equity Bank should roll out thin SIM technology. Judge Isaac Lenaola said he will deliver his verdict next year after parties in the case have made their final submissions, CapitalFM reported. Advocate Wambua Kilonzo for the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) urged the court to dismiss Bernard Murage's petition, which is contesting the roll-out on the grounds that Finserve Africa has not provided any safeguard measures on the vulnerability of over 8 million account holders' personal data in Equity's
