Kenyan govt plans to connect 10,000 schools to the internet

The Kenyan government plans to connect 10,000 schools throughout the country with high speed internet. Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi says relevant internet infrastructure will be developed to promote e-learning with teachers being provided with laptops, reports KBC. The government has identified e-learning as an integral part in increasing the primary to secondary school transition rate, which is currently at 87 percent.
