Kenyan govt to set up ICT innovation centres in 290 constituencies

Kenya's ICT ministry says each of the countries 290 constituencies will have four innovation hubs to encourage more youths to venture into online jobs, reports The Star. The Cabinet Secretary of ICT Joe Mucheru said the government hopes to create 1 million online opportunities by 2018 through the initiative. The project is set to begin in the 2017/2018 financial year and is a partnership between the Ministry of ICT, National Constituency Development Fund Board and Members of Parliament.
