Kenyan internet subscriptions rise 8% in Q4 to 33.3 mln, fibre subscriptions up 10%

The total number of internet subscriptions in Kenya stood at 33.3 million on 31 December 2017, up by 8.0 percent from 30.8 million in the previous quarter, according to industry regulator CA. The growth is attributed to the increased roll-out of 3G and 4G mobile networks across the country. During the quarter under review, the number of terrestrial wireless data subscriptions grew by 29.2 percent to record 82,362 from 63,749 in the third quarter.
