Kenyan internet/data subscriptions fall 1.5% in Q3

The number of internet/data subscriptions declined by 1.5 percent to 43.7 million in the third quarter ended 31 March from 44.39 million in Q2, according to the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA). It attributed the drop to the resumption of on-site education in schools from the beginning of the year. Safaricom had the highest market share of mobile data subscriptions at 68.2 percent, Airtel had 25.9 percent, Telkom Kenya had 5.1 percent, while Jamii Telecommunications and Equitel had the smallest market share at 0.4 percent.
