Kenyan Parliament to discuss Bill to hive off mobile cash from telecom firms

Kenya's telecommunications services providers could be forced to break off mobile money from their core business, reports the Standard. The Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) Bill, 2019, has been proposed by Member of Parliament Elisha Odhiambo. Odhiambo says the Bill has been gazetted and he is prepared to present it to the floor of the House in the coming days.
