Kenyan Universal Service Fund helps bring mobile services to 78 places out of 348 targeted

More than 400,000 residents in 78 remote sub-locations of Kenya have been connected to telecommunication services after the deployment of infrastructure financed by the Universal Service Fund. The acting assistant director of the fund, which is administered by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), says KES 1.24 billion has so far been spent on providing mobile services in those 78 places, out of 348 sub-locations targeted.
