Kenyan watchdog CA seizes 5,000 fake phones in raid

A crackdown on mobile phone vendors by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has yielded more than 5,000 counterfeit mobile phones in Mombasa County, Business Daily reported. Regional manager Joseph Kimuge said the exercise was conducted this month among traders selling the gadgets in the central business district. He said his office has taken more than 20 vendors to court for selling fake mobile phones.
