Kenya's Ndemo slams Cofek move to stop digital switchover

Kenya's Information and Communications Permanent Secretary Bitange Ndemo has criticised the Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) for attempting to block the migration to digital TV in Nairobi by the 31 December deadline. Cofek filed a petition in the High Court on 10 December, seeking to push the migration deadline from the end of this month to coincide with the global switchover date of 2015.

....and why should ordinary Kenyan citizens have to subscribe to a couple of pay TV companies so that they stay connected. Mr Ndemo is being economical with the truth.
