KKV takes Hassleholm to court for refusing to let operators lay fibre

The Swedish Competition Authority (KKV) is taking Hassleholm local council to court, seeking an injunction to stop it preventing external parties from laying fibre for broadband in the borough. KKV said impeding anyone but the council itself from putting down lines blocks competition, to the detriment of potential internet users and of other operators. Hassleholm started refusing to grant land rights to private companies in October 2015.
