Koo launches in Nigeria 2 months after Twitter ban, government opens Koo account

Indian microblogging and social networking app Koo has begun operating in Nigeria, CEO Aprameya Radhakrishna told a media briefing on 03 August, CommunicationsWeek reported. Two months ago, the federal government suspended Twitter's operations, alleging that it was being used to undermine "Nigeria's corporate existence". According to the daily, the Nigerian government opened an official account on Koo less than a week after suspending Twitter.
