Korea to invest KRW 1.5 trillion in R&D in 2018

The South Korean government plans to spend KRW 1.52 trillion (approximately USD 1.33 billion) in 2018 on research and development (R&D) in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving technology and the internet of things (IoT), The Korea Times reports, citing a government statement. Additionally, around KRW 932 billion will be invested into creating more R&D jobs.
