KPN hotspots attract 2.5 mln users in half year

KPN counted 2.5 million unique users for its Wi-Fi hotspots in the first half of 2013. The information was leaked in the ACM's decision on net neutrality violations by the operator for offering free access to the hotspots. The website Tweakers found that a copy-and-paste of the regulator's decision revealed redacted parts with business-confidential information. The decision also showed that Vodafone had around 3,200 customers using its offer for free data traffic on HBO Go when it was found to be violating the net neutrality rules.
