KPN to accelerate LoRa network roll-out

Wednesday 27 January 2016 | 10:49 CET | News
KPN announced plans to accelerate the roll-out of its LoRa network in the Netherlands. KPN said it's seen strong demand for the wireless network supporting the Internet of Things, as a complement to its 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks. KPN launched the LoRa network first in Rotterdam and The Hague last November and plans to reach nationwide coverage in the second quarter of this year. The company previously targeted national coverage for the end of 2016.
