KPN to expand 100 Mbps to another 1.5 mln homes

KPN announced that it will expand VDSL services at up to 100 Mbps to another 1.5 million households in the coming months. In July the Dutch operator said it was already serving 2 million homes with 100 Mbps broadband over VDSL. It's using the techniques vectoring and pair bonding in order to increase speeds on the copper network. The latest expansion of the services targets homes within 1.5 km of street cabinets, after the initial roll-out covered the so-called 'buitenringen' addresses, more than 1.5 km from street cabinets.
