KT to invest KRW 13 tln in cloud computing, big data

South Korean mobile operator KT plans to invest KRW 13 trillion (approximately USD 10.9 billion) until 2020 in new growth engines, Yonhap news agency reports, citing KT CEO Hwang Chang-gyu. In line with this strategy, KT plans to set up the Intelligent GiGA Infra, which connects the latest technologies, including cloud computing and big data. "Through the intelligent infrastructure, KT will make efforts to make South Korea the leader in the fourth industrial revolution", Chang-gyu said.
