Kuwaiti govt uses app to monitor home-quarantined people returned from abroad

Wednesday 13 May 2020 | 10:07 CET | News
The Kuwaiti Health Ministry has been using the Shlonik app to follow up citizens repatriated from abroad who are in obligatory home quarantine. Mona Al-Khabaz, head of the ministry's team in charge of monitoring the home-quarantined people, told Xinhua that the app is linked with a smart bracelet to track movement and notify the ministry if people break the quarantine rules. The repatriation plan began on 19 April to bring home citizens stranded abroad by the pandemic, and tens of thousands of people have returned to Kuwait.
