Landis+Gyr to supply 3 mln smart meters for the Dutch market

Landis+Gyr, a provider of energy management products for utilities, has been selected to supply a total of 3 million smart meters in the Netherlands. The contracts were awarded by and signed individually with Dutch distribution grid operators Liander, Stedin, Delta Netwerkbedrijf and Westland Infra. All four contracts can be extended, which could result in a higher number of smart meters delivered. Landis+Gyr will supply both smart electricity meters and smart gas meters based on the Dutch Smart Meter SMR5 specifications to all four grid operators. Most of the meters will be rolled out in
