L'Aquila to host ESA-backed autonomous driving lab

The city of L'Aquila, capital of the central Italian region of Abruzzo, has been selected as the site of the 'P-Cars' laboratory, intended to certify positioning devices for use within driverless cars. The project, financed by the Italian Space Agency, ASI, through the European Space Agency's Navigation Innovation and Support Programme, NAVISP, is designed to support the goals of EMERGE, a public-private partnership for innovation set up in 2018.
