Last week in media: Netflix, M&A, CEOs departing, and new services coming from Discovery, Facebook and Snap

The Telecompaper Global Consumer Media index ended week 14 up 3.2 percent, ahead of the S&P 500 index (+2.1%). Much of the performance was attributable to heavyweights Alphabet (+2.%) and Facebook (+5.4%). M&A and management changes brought about some large share price movements. Also, ahead of Walt Disney's investor day several companies announced new products and services, including Discovery, Facebook, Snap and Comcast.
