LatAm 5G connections to rise to just 12% of total lines by 2025 - GSMA

The adoption of 5G technology by Latin American providers has is gaining momentum but will continue at a gradual pace over the next four years, accounting for just 12 percent of total mobile connections by 2025, according to a GSMA study. Commercial 5G networks are now live in a handful of countries in the region, with the technology set to reach 86 million connections by 2025, led by Brazil where 5G will account for a fifth of connections.
