Lenovo picks NXP microcontrollers for Vibe X2 Pro phone

NXP Semiconductors announced that the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro smartphone, due to be released in April, will use the NXP LPC54100 series of microcontrollers for sensor processing applications. Lenovo selected the LPC54100 series for its processing power and power efficiency to maximize battery life, NXP said. Today's average smartphone uses up to 12 sensors to detect or measure data such as movement, orientation, location, voice and light intensity.
