LeoSat, Globosat agree partnership

LeoSat Enterprises and Globosat Group announced a partnership to develop their fleets of low-earth orbit satellites. Through this agreement, LeoSat will provide Globalsat with access to infrastructure for the Globalsat LEO Network, and the Globalsat Group will provide LeoSat with access to the Americas market, leveraging its extensive presence and experience. LeoSat is developing a network of LEO Ka band satellites that is expected to launch in 2018. It plans to use a unique architecture using inter-satellite laser links, creating an optical backbone in space with enhanced security.
