Less than half Mexican telecom subscribers compare providers

Less than half of Mexican users of mobile, broadband and pay-TV services compare providers before signing up to a plan, according to the latest consumer survey by the IFT. The survey of 10,600 consumers conducted between December 2016 and January 2017 revealed that 43 percent of men and 33 percent of women compared providers before contracting a fixed broadband service. The figure rises to 46 percent of men and 41 percent of women when it comes to mobile telephony services, while just 35 percent of men and 29 percent of women compare plans before subscribing to a pay-TV service.
