LG Uplus, Huawei partner on 5G project

South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus has signed a MoU with Chinese telecommunications equipment manufacturer Huawei to develop technology for the 5G mobile network, The Korea Herald reports. LG Uplus and Huawei will jointly develop network services and equipment for 5G. The two partners will also carry out joint laboratory and field tests. LG Uplus and Huawei also plan to contribute to the standardization of 5G technologies.
