LG Uplus tests LTE-based smart parking control service

South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus has developed a smart parking control service based on the narrowband LTE technology, The Korea Times reports. LG Uplus said it has already started testing the service at its 5G technology test center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The company plans to expand its services by tapping into industrial IoT) technologies such as remote parking control and smart lighting systems based on diverse LTE frequency bandwidths.
