LG Uplus to create IoT ecosystem with partners

South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus plans to create an "open-based Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem" in partnership with domestic and foreign companies, Yonhap news agency reports. LG Uplus plans to open its platforms to partners and developers, and help them enter the IoT market. LG Uplus says its LTE Open Innovation Center (LOIC) launched in 2011, will continue providing support to partners to materialize IoT-related ideas by offering marketing and sales support or raising funds.
