Libelium unveils traffic monitoring tech for petrol stations

Spanish wireless sensor maker Libelium has launched an Internet of Things project to monitor vehicle traffic at a petrol station in the city of Zaragoza. The aim is to measure incoming and outgoing traffic at the El Portazgo station owned by the Zoilo Rios holding via the detection of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices. Libelium says the technology measures the number of vehicles that access the service area and do not refuel, the average length of stay of the vehicle in the service area, the traffic volume that passes along the road in front of the petrol station as well as vehicle movements
