Liberian government sets up electronic portal

Monday 4 April 2016 | 09:22 CET | News
The Liberian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has established the national e-portal to facilitate the implementation of the electronic government programme. The ministry's 2015 Annual Report said it started an internet exchange programme in 2014 to facilitate the localisation of local e-mail content, in collaboration with the African Union (AU), LINA reported. This has increased the speed of email exchange and avoided the routing of local email content through other parts of the world before returning to its destination in Liberia.
