Liberty Global ups stake in Ziggo to 18.2%

Friday 10 May 2013 | 15:08 CET | News
Liberty Global has upped its stake in Ziggo by 5.55 percent, CEO Mike Fries said during an analyst call following the release of the company's first quarter results. Fries said an opportunity led the company to increase its share but that Liberty Global had no ambitions to acquire all of Ziggo. Liberty Global now holds 18.2 percent of all Ziggo shares, bought for a total of EUR 926 million. The company noted that it did not need to own all shares to work with Ziggo.
