Libya's LapGreenN seeks to acquire Orange Uganda - report

Monday 24 March 2014 | 09:34 CET | News
Lap GreenN is reportedly interested in bidding for Orange Uganda, whose owner Orange has hired Lazard to assess strategic options for it, TMT Finance reported, citing sources. Libyan company Lap GreenN already owns a 69 percent stake in Uganda Telecom unit UT Mobile. Orange Uganda is likely to fetch upwards of USD 50 million, TMT reports. In Uganda, operators have struggled with low ARPU, resulting in limited resources for investment in new services and networks.
