Ligado appoints Donahue as director

US spectrum licence holder Ligado Networks (formerly LightSquared) has appointed former Sprint Nextel executive chairman Timothy Donahue to its board of directors. Ligado CEO Doug Smith said the company looked forward to using his extensive experience to bring its mid-band spectrum online and growing the business to enable the next-generation of connectivity. Donahue served 7 years as Nextel Communications CEO and was previously Northeast regional president at AT&T Wireless Services.
