Limelight narrows loss in Q2

Content delivery systems developer Limelight Networks said second quarter revenues fell slightly to USD 41.3 million from 42.8 million the year before. The figure includes USD 3.1 million of revenues from the company's Web Content Management business, divested in the fourth quarter of 2013. The loss from continuing operations narrowed to USD 7.1 million or USD 0.07 per basic share from a loss the year before of 11.2 million or 0.12 per basic and fully diluted share. The non-GAAP net loss went to USD 3.6 million or USD 0.04 per basic share, froma loss of 7.2 million or 0.07 per basic share. The EBITDA loss from continuing operations was at USD 1.9 million. After adjusting for share based compensation, litigation expense, and acquisition related expenses, Limelight reported adjusted EBITDA of USD 1.3 million compared to an adjusted EBITDA loss of 0.5 million. At the end of the quarter, the company had cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of USD 107.5 milllion or USD 1.096 per share. CEO Robert Lento said the company was pleased with its performance improvements across multiple measures and with the favourable Supreme Court ruling delivered during the quarter.
