Linkem, ZTE to partner on Rome LTE-A rollout

Tuesday 23 February 2016 | 14:38 CET | News
Italian broadband provider Linkem has signed an agreement with ZTE to roll out an ultra-broadband LTE-A network in Rome offering speeds of up to 400 Mbps. The partners said the network will be one of the world's largest single city wireless deployments using 3.5GHz spectrum. Announcing the agreement at Mobile World Congress, the partners said the deployment seeks to provide ultra broadband capacity "without digging, to demonstrate that all structural, archaeological and environmental constraints, items with great importance in Rome, can be overcome."
