Lithuanian operators agree to exchange IMEI codes

Mobile operators Bite Lithuania, Tele2 Lithuania and Telia Lithuania have joined an international initiative to exchange the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) codes of lost and stolen handsets, reports Vz.lt. When a new SIM is inserted into any such handset, the device will be blocked.
