LMT expands 3G network coverage to 80%

Latvian mobile operator LMT launched 110 new 3G base stations in Q1. The 3G network currently covers 80 percent of the country's area, and the operator plans to reach 90 percent by the end of the year, reports Dienas Bizness. LMT currently deploys around 30 new 3G base stations each month. Capital expenditure by the operator will total LVL 18 million this year. LMT offers up to 42Mbps broadband for subscribers.
