Wednesday 31 May 2017 | 09:51 CET | News
London Underground plans to launch bids for a mobile signal on its trains after the general elections planned for next week, the Financial Times reported, with sources saying a number of companies are interested, including BAI Communications, Wireless Infrastructure Group and Arqiva. BT could also bid. The company has already been in discussions with Transport for London (TfL) as part of the Emergency Services Network contract run by EE. Huawei and Airvana, part of CommScope, have previously talked about installing their equipment in the underground.
