Loriot.io, FuturioX to roll out Italian LoRaWAN network

Italian Internet of Things (IoT) startup futurioX has announced an agreement with Zurich-based IoT infrastructure-provider Loriot.io to roll out applications and services based on LoRaWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technology. Under the terms of the deal, Loriot.io and futurioX will develop a range of IoT infrastructure solutions in areas including smart city (parking-space coordination, waste-management and public lighting systems optimisation) and agriculture (water-distribution management and pesticide monitoring).
