Lucibel deploys Li-Fi solution in French family centre

French lighting systems manufacturer Lucibel announced the deployment of its Li-Fi solution in a municipal building in the town of Courbevoie. Li-Fi, which stands for Light Fidelity, is positioned as an alternative to Wi-Fi and can provide a theoretical connection speed of 42 Mbps. Data is sent via LED in the infrared spectrum and is received using a dedicated Li-Fi USB key. The technology currently targets deployments where the use of Wi-Fi is not recommended, such as public buildings where children under the age of three are cared for. In Courbevoie, Lucibel has installed its Li-Fi solution
