Lyse sees surge in fibre and TV customers in 2014

Electricity and broadband supplier Lyse, which is owned by sixteen local councils in southern Rogaland county, said capital employed in its telecommunications division rose to NOK 3.317 billion in 2014 from NOK 2.668 bln a year earlier. Lyse's telecoms operations cover Altibox, Lyse Fiber, Lyse IT, NorAlarm, and Lyse Fiberinvest, the owner of Lyse's stakes in other fibre companies. These include Viken Fiber (71%), Bergen Fiber (85%), and Signal Bredband (100%). Lyse said telecoms revenue was NOK 2.158 billion in 2014, or NOK 2.546 billion including Viken, up from NOK 2.010 billion in 2013.
